Dragged into Turbolasers Episode 46: New Warhammer Underworlds warbands and a Fiend of Slaanesh?!

Zarbag’s Gitz!

With the new edition of Warhammer Underworlds just released, we discuss the models for the first new warbands released outside of the boxed game. We talk about how the new goblin and Tzeentch warbands fit in with and expand the already established imagery. We end the episode talking about the first images of a Slaanesh model that is likely a redesigned Fiend of Slaanesh.

  1. Excellent as always guys. Was looking forward to seeing your thoughts on these two Underworld groups, I honestly hadn't even noticed one of the acolytes was female. The fact the other models are pretty uninspired really kept me from taking he time to really look them over. I am both excited that there are going to be new models for Slaanesh but also disappointed as I know that none of them will be what I actually hope to see. I fully agree that it will be a largely missed chance to change the way they have always presented what I think is one of the most interesting and utterly horrifying of the gods. Keep it up as always.

  2. Great podcast as always gentlemen. The goblins are in some ways quite cool but overall the design of newer goblins is still fairly poor. For example, I cannot see any reason anyone would buy these when they could buy far superior goblins by getting them from Knightmare Games "Greenskin Wars" range, or just buying the old OOP models on eBay; but I suppose that is always my complaint, that the old models are always better!

    1. I'm with you on that. It may be a reflex by us older gamers, but orcs and goblins need that "you have to love'em" thing -for lack of a better explanation. Like some crazyhead that you need on your party. These models don't have that. Maybe it's the digital sculpting? I'd say the new 40k orks have the same problem.
      Nice episode by the way!
