Dragged into Turbolasers Episode 7: Orruks in Age of Sigmar and Warhammer Quest!

Orcs/orks/orruks are back!

This episode is focused on the orcs arrival in  Age of Sigmar, in the form of the Orruk Ironjawz.  We talk about the new Ironjaw models, and discuss how the image of the orcs has changed over the years in Games Workshop products. Special mention is given to Brian Nelson’s key role in defining how they look today.  We also speak briefly about the newly revealed Warhammer Quest boxed game, marveling at the surprising diversity in the models included in the box.

  2. Another great episode, cheers for making these :)

As far as the old metal horrors go I'd say someone punned us thinking those arms should be attached to the models because they obviously can't be ;)

As a big WHQ fan and having tzeentch as my favorite chaos deity I obviously ordered it with the novel, wd and the freebie while it last battle mage character card. I look forward on hearing your experience with it - I plan on running some WHQ evenings here at least and writing about it on the blog.

Oh and as far as orruks go - will we see paint Eric?

Yeah those horror arms are some cosmic joke, the Great Deceiver at work surely. Glad to hear you got Silver Tower! I look forward to seeing what you do with it, and when you play the game, what you think about it.

As for the Orruk seeing paint, hopefully he will at some point, but I do not foresee it being too soon, unfortunately.

  3. I think the three sung portions technically qualify this episode as a musical, which is pretty funny. Can't wait to hear more.
