Kingdom Death Multi-part kit challenge: Bigbossredskullz Amazon

Amazon by Bigbossredskullz

At the end of last year, we started the Kingdom Death Multi-part Kit Challenge to see what other hobbyists could do with the wealth of plastic pieces from the Kingdom Death boxed game. We were not overly impressed with the multi-part kits, but were confident that something special could come out of them given the proper talent. So, after building a single model from the kits, we sent them away.

A finely packed box all the way from Norway!

We are thrilled to say that the project is starting to bear fruit, as yesterday a package arrived from our friend Bigbossredskullz that contained a beautifly crafted Kingdom Death amazon!  After Odie from Heavy Static, the first recipent of the pieces, picked out the parts he wanted to create a model, he quickly sent the rest off to Bigbossredskullz to try his hand with them.  Unsurprisingly, he created a fantastically dark and evocative model, exploring the old Amazonian myth where the warrior women would remove their right breast. We are very pleased to see that he has kept with our theme of making realistic and strong female characters.

He used one of the male torsos and some green stuff to make the conversion, avoiding the pitfalls of KD's pinup line.

The addition of the bloodly sickle was a nice touch!

Much to our excitement, he kindly offered to give us his creation, such that she might be used in our games of Kingdom Death! We are very excited to add this narrative element to our Kingdom Death Campaign.

  2. Great conversion!
It's nice to see the model photographed in another light. This makes it easier to get an idea of how it looks in the flesh.

I'm very exited about starting my model! Thank you for sending the bits around. This is a very interesting project!
